Fabien Almairac is a neurosurgeon at Nice University Hospital. He is dedicated to surgery for brain and skull base tumors.
In 2012 he obtained a license in neuro-oncology and in 2016 a PhD degree in health and life sciences obtained in the laboratory of Thierry Virolle. The subject of his thesis was on the mechanisms of differentiation of glioblastoma stem cells.
Fabien is now head of the multidisciplinary brain tumors group at Nice University Hospital and a member of the French society of neuro-oncology (ANOCEF).
He teaches in France on brain tumor surgery and emerging treatments, and regularly speaks at French and European conferences on these subjects.
At VirTu Therapeutics, Fabien is a consulting physician due to his clinical and biological expertise in glioblastomas.
