Cancer Stem Cell Plasticity and Functional Intra-tumor Heterogeneity
Thierry Virolle is an INSERM research director, has over 25 years’ experience in academic cancer research.
He has a PhD degree in health and life sciences from Nice University.
He is now head of the "Plasticity of cancer stem cells and intra-tumoral functional heterogeneity" team at the Institut de Biologie Valrose in Nice,
There, he is studying the aggressiveness and resistance of Glioma Stem Cells (GSCs). He have identified in collaboration with Laurent Turchi a drug candidate (DV188) from a collection of original molecules synthesized at the Nice Institute of Chemistry.
